Unfamiliar is a video processing service. You upload video footage; our systems process it (for example, blurring faces or replacing a face with a computer-generated, fictional persona) and return the processed result to you. Unfamiliar is a processing tool. It is not a hosting, sharing, or publishing platform, and processed content is not made available to anyone but you.
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use Unfamiliar.
You keep all rights to footage you upload and to your processed results. By uploading footage, you represent and warrant that:
These warranties are a condition of using the service. Responsibility for uploaded footage rests with the person who uploads it.
Replacement faces available in Unfamiliar are AI-generated, fictional personas provided by us. They do not depict real people. You may not attempt to introduce the likeness of a real person into processed output, and you may not use processed output to impersonate any real person.
Footage is uploaded for the sole purpose of processing and delivering results to you. Source footage is retained for up to 24 hours after a render completes so you can adjust settings and re-render; you may opt out of this window per upload, or end it early at any time, in which case the source is deleted immediately. Rendered results are retained for up to 7 days, or until you delete them. We do not review your content in the ordinary course of operations, and we do not sell or share your content.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts, refuse processing, and remove content where we have reason to believe these terms are violated. Where the law requires it, including in relation to child sexual abuse material, we will report to and cooperate with the relevant authorities.
Processing consumes credits. Subscription credits renew monthly with your plan; purchased credit packs do not expire. Full renders are charged when processing completes; single-frame previews are charged (at the rate shown in the interface) when the preview runs. Credits are non-refundable once the corresponding compute has run. Prices and credit rates may change with notice.
The service is provided "as is." Automated face detection and replacement can make mistakes. We design the pipeline to fail safe (obscuring rather than revealing when detection is uncertain), but we cannot guarantee perfect results, and you should review processed output before relying on it. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before a claim.
We may update these terms; material changes require your renewed acceptance before further processing. Continued use after non-material updates constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Disputes are subject to the courts of Norway.
